CINT Commander v5.05
v5.05 - 07/12/10 - This update came much quicker than others. After releasing version 5.04, several issues were immediately identified. This version contains upgrades to the Rotation dialer, Server control and records manager. If you’ve already updated to version 5.04, please uninstall it and replace with version 5.05.
v5.04 - 07/07/10 - This update includes a new feature that will allow negotiators to enter multiple phone numbers for the subject in crisis. Negotiators will be able to access the Phone Number Manager by right clicking in the dialer box. This tool will allow you to enter up to 49 different phone numbers that you may use during an incident. A text box will allow for a description of each number entered. For example, you can enter the subject’s home, cell, and home office numbers. A rotate and auto redial function has also been added, which will allow your team to select multiple numbers to auto redial. The main log will automatically be updated with the numbers dialed while using this feature. There is no need to update the Satellite Software with this update.
v5.01 - 11/04/09 - This update contains an updated server data process handler, which improves reliability and security. A new custom data CODEC is employed to guarantee data validity over LAN connections. It also includes a bug fix which affected the naming process of covert microphone recordings. This version will not be compatible with older versions of the CINT Satellite program. Therefore be sure to update the Satellite program as well.
v4.74 - 08/01/09 – This update addresses a minor restart issue in the Satellite Server code and a bug in the Review Incident function.
v4.70 - 05/23/09 - This version update focused on a redesign of the networking server, which has been completely re-written from ground up. In preparation for the upcoming release of our STVS (Streaming Tactical Video System), the server required bandwidth and multitasking abilities, which the older version could not provide. The server is now limited to 50 networked computers, however this will be addressed in future updates and will be set to our advertised value of 100 computers.
v4.67 - 01/14/09 - This update addresses several found bugs located in the TCP/IP Server handling for networking. It also includes an updated and optimized server (v3.06). Modifications have also been made to the installer to ensure a proper installation on computers with a high level of administrative restrictions. Please update your Satellite software also to version 4.67.
v4.65 - 06/07/08 - This update includes many enhancements to the system. All the requests and recommendations acquired throughout the last 6 months can be found in this version. Included is the ability to add/remove members from the scene remotely on Satellite PCs. You can now track 9 team positions (assignments) including the Incident Commander and Tactical Team leader. Be sure to download the new Satellite update also.
v4.63 - 04/27/08 - This update includes enhanced CD/DVD (Evidence Disk) creation functionality. You can now choose to include the Negotiator’s Position Paper, Admin Communications Log and NOC Communications Log with the Evidence CD/DVD. This update also resolves an issue when using the Microsoft Vista Windows CD Burn Folder wizard.
v4.61 - 04/12/08 - This update addresses several minor bugs and includes several functional enhancements.
v4.59 - 03/10/08 - This update addresses several minor bugs. It also contains some enhanced error trapping and handling routines, including an automatic CINTComm. Server reset function. This version requires that the CINT Commander Satellite program also be updated.
v4.58 - 02/17/08 - This version includes an advanced Records handling and transfer protocol. Also added is a NOC (Negotiator Operations Center) LOG and communications window, which allows negotiators to privately send information and “sticky notes” between themselves and the primary. The NOC Log is accessible from the CINT Commander main screen also. This version requires that BOTH the CINT Commander and all Satellite computers update to Version 4.58. Older versions of the Satellite Software could cause instability.
v4.56 - 12/19/07 - This version includes a change to the main program allowing it to be run in full screen mode. Also added is the ability to manually force the recorder to break a recording into sub recordings, thereby allowing instant playback of a recording without hanging up.
v4.54 - 12/10/07 -This update completely changes the way the CINT Commander networks with other computers. A stand alone network server now runs in the background to handle connected Satellite computers.
Note** You need to update all satellite PCs with the newer version of CINT Satellite. Older versions will be incompatible.
v4.00 - 09/30/07 - This version includes an upgraded CODEC (v3.13), which not only resolves the proprietary sound card issue (my apologies to those who experienced this) but is also Microsoft Windows Vista compatible. This is an extremely important update that everyone should complete. This version also adds 32bit CRC checksums to the main log for all recordings to ensure the validity of evidence.
Special thanks to Mark Essien and Mitsunari Shigeo for their assistance in resolving this CODEC issue.
v3.07 - 09/02/07 - This version of the CINT Commander includes an enhanced routine for handling Main Log updates. There are also several records management updates and bug removals.
v3.05 - 08/07/07 - This version of the CINT Commander includes enhanced networking capabilities and includes the precursor protocol for the CINT DVR (coming sometime this fall). This version, when used with the CINT Satellite v2.21 (or newer) allows users to maintain complete data records on all persons involved (Targets, Hostages, Witnesses, etc…). Data fields include Personal Information, Descriptors, Prior Contact History, and a photograph.
v3.01 - 05/19/07 - This update introduces the automatic recovery feature into the CINT Commander software. In the event that an incident is halted for any reason, the CINT Commander has the ability to automatically resume an event where you left off. Also includes minor bug fixes.
v3.00 - 05/07/07 - The much anticipated Version 3.00 is a major update to the CINT Commander software, and we highly recommend that you download this update and become familiar with it. Be sure to also download the CINT Satellite program installer!
Some of the new features include:
Adjustable Titles: You can now customize the software by changing the terms for the Target, Primary and Scribe. Once changed, the software will default to the new terms.
Auto USB Connect: If the COMMBox becomes disconnected from the PC, the system will now automatically re-establish communications with the CINT Commander Software once the COMMBox is reconnected. This alleviates the need to manually reset both the device and the software.
Networking: The CINT Commander Software is now fully network-able. Simply install the CINT Satellite software onto any computer on a LAN (Local Area Network) and connect. The CINT Commander Software can host up to 100 satellite connections (computers). The Satellite computers have the ability to review the entire Main Log (in real time, as it happens) and, if permission is granted they can make notations remotely into the Main Log. They can also download and display the Negotiation Position Paper at any time. Another feature includes the ability to review the list of recordings and listen to them through any of the remote connections. The network uses standard TCP/IP protocol and can be wired (Cat 5) or wireless.
v2.07 - 02/27/07 - This update enables the system to be used as a Pretext Call System. You can now create a "Pretext Call Event" and utilize the systems features for evidence gathering and security. Improvements were also made to the NPP Editor and Highlight features. The user manual has also been updated to cover the new functions.
v2.06 - 02/18/07 - This update includes the ability to highlight text inside the Main Log during an incident. This will assist the team in event tracking during the incident. This update also includes a complete Negotiator Position Paper Generator and editor.
v2.05 - The FIRST POSTED update. This update enables the user to complete an FBI HOBAS Report at the conclusion of an event or at any point after an event has ended. A portion of the required HOBAS information is automatically completed by the software, including the narrative portion of the report. This file was updated on 02/09/07.
